New Media Academic & Entrepreneur

Jonathan Guajardo is an Assistant Professor of the Practice in the Department of Communication and Journalism at Texas A&M University. He specializes in new media, emerging tech, entrepreneurial journalism, and alternative pedagogical methods in higher education. He also is a new media entrepreneur who owns a multimedia production company called GA Media and two hyper-local digital news media publications: the San Antonio Sentinel and the BCS Chronicle. He is a San Antonio native who lives in College Station, Texas with his wife, Areeba, and is an proud alumnus of The University of the Incarnate Word, where he obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees.
